

A) Apply a layer of matte decoupage medium to the canvas.
B) Place a sheet of multipurpose paper on top.
C) Press to adhere and allow it to dry completely.


A) Prepare the crayons by removing the paper labels and breaking the crayons into halves or thirds.


A) Place a leaf face down on your work surface. Tip: The back of the leaf has more prominent veins and will give the best results.
B) Lay a sheet of multipurpose paper over the leaf.
C) Use the side of a crayon to rub across the surface.
D) This will reveal the leaf’s texture.


A) Paint over the leaf rubbings with watercolors and let dry.


A) Cut out around the edges of the leaf shapes.


A) Arrange the leaves on the panel in a pleasing design.
B) Apply decoupage medium to the back of a leaf.
C) Press the leaf in place. Repeat to adhere all the leaves to the surface.
Wrap leaves around the sides of the panel for added interest.


A) Apply a final coat of decoupage medium over the entire surface to seal and protect the artwork.
