Turn a simple birdhouse into a charming spring garden with bright paint and playful dotted flowers. This cheerful DIY project adds a handmade touch of color and creativity to your seasonal décor.

What You'll Need:

  • ArtSkills Premium White Poster Board
  • Crafter’s Closet Hot Glue Gun
  • Crafter’s Closet Hot Glue Sticks
  • Craft Foam Balls, 9 Piece
  • Mason Jar (1 Pint)
  • Tea Light
  • Gold Spray Paint
  • Scissors
  • Pencil
  • Template

Let's Get Started

STEP 1:

A)    Mix white and teal paint to create a lighter shade of teal. Paint the main body of the birdhouse. Let dry.

STEP 2:

A)    Paint the roof and base white. Let dry.

STEP 3:

A)    Paint the underside of the roof, the inside edge of the opening, and the outer edges of the roof and base teal. Let dry.

STEP 4:

A)    Use the back end of a paintbrush to add dots for the leaves, keeping them loose and organic. Tip: Use both a larger and a smaller paintbrush to vary the dot sizes. Let dry.

A)    Use the same technique to add flower dots in pink, lilac, and orange.

B)     Your painted garden is complete!

STEP 5:

A)    Repeat the dot technique to add leaves and flowers to the corners of the roof. Let dry.
