Felt Ribbon Candy

Felt Ribbon Candy
Create a festive felt ribbon candy garland that looks sweet enough to eat! Strips of colorful felt are folded and threaded onto a string alongside painted, glittered wood beads that shimmer like sparkling sugared candies—perfect for adding a cheerful touch to your holiday décor.

Let's Get Started

STEP 1:

A)    Paint the wood beads in assorted colors. Let dry.

B)    Apply a coat of decoupage medium to each bead. While the wood beads are still wet, sprinkle them with white glitter. Let dry.

C)   Your “sparkling sugared candies” are ready to use!

STEP 2:

A) Cut 1-inch-wide strips from the long side of the felt sheets.

STEP 3:

A)    Layer three felt strips on top of each other.

B)    Make sure to match the outer colors and line up the pieces.

C)   Fold the layered felt back and forth.

D)   This will form the classic ribbon candy shape.

STEP 4:

A)    Insert a threaded needle through the center of the folded felt layers to hold the shape.

B)    Continue making and stringing assorted felt ribbon candies onto the thread.

C)   Mix in the glittered wood beads as you go to create a fun, colorful pattern for your garland.
