Faux Metal Flower
Do you love the look of decorative metal flowers but not the price? Make your own for a lot less using poster board and paint!

Let's Get Started

STEP 1:

A)    Flatten a paper roll.

B)    Cut the roll into 1/2" wide pieces.

STEP 2:

A)    Glue the pieces into a flower shape. You’ll need 7 pieces to create a flower.

B)    Make as many flowers as you’ll need to fit inside your bowl.

STEP 3:

A)    Prep the bowl by covering the inside with plastic wrap.

STEP 4:

A)    Mix deco podge and water in a 1:1 ratio. Note: Use a bowl that is shallow and wide enough to accommodate the size of the completed flowers.

B)    Dip the flowers into the mixture to coat them completely.

STEP 5:

A)    Begin by placing a coated flower at the bottom of the plastic-wrapped bowl.

B)    Build up the sides of the bowl, adding more flowers as you go. Make sure the flowers are touching each other.

C)   Fill the inside of the bowl completely with coated flowers. Let dry.

D)   Gently remove the flower bowl and peel away the plastic wrap.

STEP 6:

A)    Hot glue the medium petals to the flower.

STEP 7:

A)    Hot glue the small petals to the flower.

STEP 8:

A)    Hot glue the extra-small petals to the flower.

STEP 9:

A)    Hot glue the center piece to the flower.
