Rustic Faux Tin Planter

What You'll Need:

Let's Do This!

STEP 1:

Cut a 5 ½" high by 15" long piece of corrugated cardboard. Note: Make sure the corrugation inside runs up and down when the piece is laid out horizontally, as shown.

STEP 2:

Wipe a wet cloth across one side of the corrugated cardboard for at least 30 seconds.

STEP 3:

Peel off the wet side of the corrugated cardboard. It should smoothly come off in one piece.

STEP 4:

Mix black and white paint to make a dark gray color. Paint the exposed corrugation. Be sure to get in all the ridges and grooves and across the side edges. Let dry.

STEP 5:

Mix black and white paint to make a light gray color. Randomly paint the exposed corrugation. Most of the paint should hit across the peaks of the corrugated ridges, but make sure some gets down in the grooves, too. Let dry.

STEP 6:

Brush silver metallic paint across the peaks of the corrugated ridges. Let dry.

STEP 7:

Hot glue the ends of the corrugated cardboard together to make a cylinder. If you'd like, you can fit a coffee can inside to hold flowers.

TADA!
