Heart Shaped Cookies

 

 

What You'll Need:

  • Baked with Love Classic Cookie Cutters
  • Baked with Love Pastel Food Coloring
  • Baked with Love Bright Food Coloring
  • Baked with Love Decorating Sprinkles (metal multi pack)
  • Baked with Love Decorating Sprinkles (sugar crystals)
  • Baked with Love Spatula
  • Baked with Love Letters & Filler Tip Set
  • Sugar Cookie Mix
  • White/Cream Frosting

Let's Do This!

To create frosting colors, mix white/cream frosting with pink food coloring. 

Simple Swirling Heart Design: 

  • A) Mix petal pink coloring with white frosting. Evenly apply it to front of cookie with spatula. 
  • B) Add more food coloring to create deeper pink. Using a piping bag and the "classic round" tip, trace the edges of the cookie. Finish with a swirl.
  • C) Add a dash of pink sprinkles to your cookie. d. If desired, accent ends of the swirl with white pearl decorating sprinkles.  

Sweet Stripes Design:

  • A) Evenly apply white frosting with spatula to cookie.
  • B) Add more food coloring to create deeper pink. Using a piping bag and the "classic round" tip, trace the edges of the cookie.
  • C) Criss cross stripes of frosting by dragging the piping bag across the cookie to the edge.
  • D) If desired, add white and gold pearl sprinkles where the stripes cross.  

Ombre Swirling Design: 

  • A) Evenly apply white frosting with spatula to cookie.
  • B) Dollop some pink frosting near the top of the cookie. With the back of a spoon or spatula, swirl the pink frosting into the white.
  • C) As you swirl, pull less pink frosting to the bottom of the cookie, creating a gradient.
  • D) Use the "open star" piping tip to create the white lace effect around the edges of your cookie.
