Gender Reveal Cake Pops

Let's Do This!

STEP 1:

A) Put 18 golden sandwich cookies into a plastic freezer bag and smash them with a rolling pin or heavy object to make small crumbs.

B) Pour the cookie crumbs into a bowl.

STEP 2:

A) Cut a block of room-temperature cream cheese in half. You will need 4 oz. for the recipe.

B) Cut the 4 oz. block of cream cheese into quarters.

C) Add the four quarters of cream cheese to the bowl with the cookie crumbs.

STEP 3:

A) Mix the cream cheese and cookie crumbs together to make batter. Tip: You may want to use your hands to mix the batter together.

B) Add two drops of pink or blue food coloring to the batter and mix. Note: Add more food coloring for a brighter mixture.

STEP 4:

A) Use a cookie scoop to create ball shapes from the batter. Place the cake pop balls on a parchment-lined surface.

B) Freeze the cake pop balls for 15 minutes.

C) Remove the cake pop balls from the freezer and roll each one to make a smooth, round shape.

D) Insert treat sticks into the cake pop balls and freeze for 30 minutes.

STEP 5:

A) In a bowl, microwave 2 bags of light cocoa melting wafers on high for 30 seconds

B) Stir chocolate, and then microwave in 30-second intervals until chocolate is completely melted.

STEP 6:

A) Dip chilled cake pops into the melted chocolate to cover the ball completely. Use a spoon to dab extra chocolate near treat stick, if needed.

B) Place the dipped cake pops on a parchment-covered surface.

STEP 7:

A) In a bowl, microwave white chocolate melting wafers on high for 30 seconds.

B) Stir chocolate, and then microwave in 30-second intervals until chocolate is completely melted.

STEP 8:

Use a spoon to drizzle white chocolate onto the chocolate-covered cake pop balls. Refrigerate when done.

STEP 9:

A) Print and then cut out the tags.

B) Punch a hole at the top of each tag.

C) Put the cake pops into the treat bags.

D) Add the tag to a ribbon and tie the bag shut.
