Steps to Follow:
To make this poster by hand:
- Start with a piece of ArtSkills white foam board and lay it out vertically.
- Using an ArtSkills Poster Knife, cut a vertical third out of a piece of ArtSkills red poster board. Do the same with a piece of ArtSkills blue poster board. Be sure to exercise caution when using the knife.
- Glue your red third to the top of your white foam board and your blue third to the bottom, leaving the middle third of the board white.
- Glue down a blue holographic scallop border to the top edge of your poster and a red holographic scallop border to the bottom edge. To make these, trace the scallop design shown in the poster picture above on both red and blue holographic paper, then cut them out using your ArtSkills Poster Knife.
- Add the first part of your wording, "VOTE," using black ArtSkills Jumbo Black and White Poster Letters centered in the upper, red third of your poster. Using black ArtSkills Black and White Poster Letters, add the second part of your wording, "FOR," centered in the middle, white third of your poster. Finally, add the last part of your wording, "ME!," using black ArtSkills Jumbo Black and White Poster Letters centered in the lower, blue third of your poster. Feel free to replace "ME" with your name. If you want to model your lettering exactly after what is shown in the poster picture above, cut them out of black paper in the font of your liking using your ArtSkills Poster Knife.
- Add gold holographic star ArtSkills Eye Catchers to the left and right of "FOR." Center an ArtSkills Poster Flash star within each of these.
- Poke holes through the letters of "VOTE" and "ME" (or your name) from the back of your poster for ArtSkills Poster Lights. Make sure to spread them out evenly to match the number of lights you have. Push your light bulbs through the holes from the back, then adhere the battery pack to the back of your poster using the included adhesive foam strip. If your wiring is sticking out too much in the back, feel free to glue or tape it to the poster board.
- Way to go! Your poster is now complete.
