Steps to Follow:
To make this poster by hand:
- Start with a piece of ArtSkills white foam board and lay it out vertically.
- Glue down gold holographic scallop borders around the entire edge of your poster. To make these, trace and cut the scallop design shown in the poster picture above out of gold holographic poster board using a pen or pencil and an ArtSkills Poster Knife. Be sure to exercise caution when cutting.
- Add the first part of your wording, "VOTE," centered in the top third of your poster using blue ArtSkills Classic Poster Letters. Centered below that, write out "FOR" in a custom font of your choosing with a black ArtSkills Permanent Marker. Leave some space below this, then add your name centered in the lower half of your poster with red ArtSkills Jumbo Classic Poster Letters. Finally, centered below this, add the position you are running for using green ArtSkills Quick Stick Foam Letters.
- In the space between "FOR" and your name, space out and center 3 different color holographic directional arrow ArtSkills Eye Catchers pointing downward at your name. Before you adhere them to your poster, tilt the left and right arrows slightly to point inward towards the inside of your poster.
- Poke holes through the lettering of your name from the back of your poster using the poker provided in your ArtSkills Poster Lights box. Be sure to space them out evenly to fit the number of lights you have. Push your light bulbs through the holes from the back of your poster and adhere the battery pack to the back of your poster using the provided adhesive strip. You will need to install batteries for your lights to work. If your wiring is sticking out too much in the back of your poster, you can adhere it to the board using either hot glue or tape. Exercise caution if you use hot glue.
- Great work! Your poster is all done.
