Steps to Follow:
To make this poster by hand:
- Start with a piece of ArtSkills white poster board and lay it out vertically.
- Find an orange-to-black gradient image to use as your background. Print it out to fit your poster edge-to-edge, then glue it down when you find the right positioning.
- Find a ghost clip art image you like and print it out large enough to take up most of the top three quarters of your poster. Cut it out and glue it down slightly tilted. Make sure to leave room in the bottom left corner of your poster.
- Add a small purple burst ArtSkills Eye Catcher right below your ghost in the bottom left corner of your poster. Leave some room below this. Add a small green burst ArtSkills Eye Catcher on top of and overlapping your purple burst.
- Add "HALLOWEEN COSTUME PARTY!" on top of the lower half of your ghost image using purple ArtSkills Neon Poster Letters on top of black ArtSkills Black and White Poster Letters. Move the purple letters up and to the left a bit to create a drop shadow effect. Above that, write the name of your school using an orange ArtSkills Bright Washable Poster Marker.
- Add "PRIZE AWARDED FOR BEST COSTUME!" centered on top of your Eye Catcher bursts. Feel free to customize this for any contest your party is having.
- In the bottom right corner of your poster, write the date, time, and location of your party using purple ArtSkills Bright Washable Poster Marker.
- Add a neon green directional arrow ArtSkills Eye Catcher pointing down at your party's date, time, and location.
- Find a candy corn clip art image you like and print out several copies of it in varying sizes. Print and cut these out, then glue them down in size order along the bottom left edge of your poster.
- Find some other Halloween-themed clip art images to fill in empty spaces around your poster. Print and cut them out, then glue them down wherever you would like. Feel free to get creative!
- You now have a finished poster. Go get the word out about your party!
