Coffee Filter Wreath

What You'll Need:

Let's Do This!

Step 1:

A) Print and cut out the template.

B) Trace the template onto the corrugated cardboard. Cut out the wreath ring.

Step 2:

A) Separate a bunch of coffee filters.

B) Pinch a coffee filter into a point.

C) Bend the point into a 90-degree angle.

D) Hot glue the bent point of the coffee filter to the wreath ring.

Step 3:

 A) Hot glue more coffee filters to the wreath ring, keeping them packed closely together to create a full wreath.

B) Continue hot gluing coffee filters all the way around the wreath frame until it is completely covered.

Step 4:

A) Paint the wooden X purple and the wooden O red. Let dry.

B) Hot glue the X and O to the wreath, as shown.

Step 5:

A) Cut out felt squares in assorted sizes. We used light pink, red, purple, and hot pink felt. Our squares ranged from 3" x 3" to 6" x 6".

Step 6:

A) Start along the edge of a square and begin cutting a spiral towards the center.
B) Cut the spiral all the way to the middle, leaving a slight rounded "tab" in the very center.
C) Cut off the excess felt from the outside of the spiral. Start rolling the felt from the outside edge in towards the center rounded tab.
D) Put a dab of hot glue on the center tab and press the rolled flower into the hot glue to secure it in place.

Step 7:
A) Cut out a few felt hearts in assorted sizes. Tip: Fold the felt in half and then cut half of a heart shape. When you open the felt your heart will match on both sides!

Step 8:

A) Hot glue a felt heart and a few felt flowers around the X and O, as shown.

B) Hot glue felt hearts and flowers to the bottom of the wreath, as shown.
