Key Responsibilities
:
Demonstrate verbal and written fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
Manage strategic supplier partnerships (direct, trading company, key partners). Assure US, China and International material/product flow is efficient and effective.
Manage global procurement process – identify and recommend vendors, follow up on sourcing projects, monitor production and quality activities.
Coordinate projects and respond to requests between US and global partners when needed.
Support Marketing and Product Development concepts and needs. Evaluate proposals and negotiate pricing.
Monitor supplier performance and identify cost reduction and value improvement opportunities.
Translate documents, emails, conference calls, presentations and memos.
Schedule and organize meeting logistics and activities that support company objectives.
Draft and distribute correspondence, presentations, and meeting materials.
Travel overseas to visit, approve, and audit vendors, and attend trade shows. Attend meetings with global colleagues as needed.
Manage projects and administrative duties as assigned.
Requirements
:
Bachelor's degree plus 3-5 years of work experience; or 5-7 years of equivalent work experience.
Fluency in Mandarin Chinese.
Global sourcing experience in China, India Subcontinent, and Southeast Asia.
Experience with American, Chinese, Indian, Southeast Asian business cultures.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organization skills.
Knowledge of engineering, strategic sourcing, logistics, manufacturing, and re
levant regulatory issues is a plus.
Advanced Microsoft Office skills – Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

:
Ability to navigate within a fast-paced work environment.
Congenial, flexible, a good listener, self-confident, diplomatic, able to anticipate and manage unforeseen situations and highly confidential information.
Comfortable dealing with deadline pressures and multiple projects.
